You are welcome to join us in supporting Valley Gardens. Your membership is important whether you can participate directly or not. Our membership numbers illustrate community support which, in turn, helps us in our applications for grants and in our requests for improvements to the Gardens.

FOVG have developed a new Membership leaflet which you can download here or you can view it here.
By becoming a member, you will:
- receive invitations to meetings, special events and lectures connected with Friends of Valley Gardens
- Be informed of opportunities to become involved in projects in Valley Gardens including gardening activities (see below)
- know that you are helping to support and maintain Harrogate’s Award-Winning Park
Membership dues are as follows:
- Individual membership (one vote): £10
- Household membership (one vote): £15
- Organisational membership (one vote): £20
Donations are also greatly appreciated!
Many members join FOVG just to show their support for the Valley Gardens but you may also have the opportunity to help us by joining our Wednesday morning gardening group, volunteering for the Old Magnesia Well Pump Room (OMWPR) open days or assisting with guided tours.

HOW TO JOIN FOVG
Everything you need to know about joining Friends of Valley Gardens is contained in our membership leaflet. Click here to download a copy. When you fill out your membership form, please also complete the Gift Aid form which is attached to increase the benefit of your membership to FOVG. Many Friends pay their subscriptions by Standing Order as this ensures continuity without the need for expensive reminders. If you do not currently pay by Standing Order and would like to do so, please use this form and send it to the Membership Secretary. You can ask for the payment to be made in the same month that you paid previously.

FOVG is a Registered Charity and is Eligible for Gift Aid. FOVG became a Registered Charity during the summer of 2012. As a registered charity we are able to apply to a broader scope of funding streams and sponsorships and are eligible for Gift Aid. Our Charity number is 1148369.
LEGACY GIFTS
Legacy Gifts are vital to the work of most charities. After you’ve taken care of loved ones, you may wish to leave a gift to the Friends of Valley Gardens and pass on something wonderful to future generations.
By remembering the charity in this way, you’re ensuring that its good work lives on. The donation can be as small or large as you like-every gift makes a big difference.
YOU CAN ALSO SUPPORT FOVG BY PLAYING THE LOCAL LOTTO
The LOCAL LOTTO is an exciting weekly lottery that raises money for Friends of Valley Gardens and other good causes in the Harrogate District.
Tickets for the lottery cost just £1 per week. Each ticket has a 1 in 50 chance to win a prize each week, with a top prize of £25,000! That's a better chance of winning than the National Lottery or the Health Lottery!
Each ticket will consist of 6 numbers and each number will be between 0 and 9. There will be a draw every Saturday night when a 6 digit winning combination will be picked. Prizes will be given to players that match the first or last 2-6 numbers from the winning combination. Match all 6 and you win the JACKPOT!
From every £1 ticket sold 50p will go to Friends of Valley Gardens. To put this in perspective when you play the National Lottery 25% goes to good causes.
